Chitgar Lake, must-see place in Tehran

The artificial, recreational Chitgar Lake is one of the must-see places in Iran’s capital of Tehran.

Chitgar Lake, also known as the Lake of the Martyrs of the Persian Gulf, is the largest man-made lake in Iran.

It has a total area of about 250 hectares, of which the body of water covers 130 hectares area.

Most of water in the lake comes from Kan Creek.
